For Full Time Associates
Leave Time
Vacation
All
full-time associates are eligible for forty (40) hours of paid vacation time
upon completion of six (6) months of employment.
After
an employee has completed six (6) months of service and has been awarded forty
(40) hours of vacation time, it is accrued as follows:
1 – 5 years of service: 3.077 hours per
pay-period, equal to two (2) weeks of available vacation time per anniversary
year.
6 – 10 years of service: 4.6155 hours per
pay-period, equal to three (3) weeks of available vacation time per anniversary
year.
11 -15 years of service: 6.154 hours per
pay-period, equal to four (4) weeks of available vacation time per anniversary
year.
15+ years of service: 7.6923 hours per pay-period, equal to
five (5) weeks of available vacation time per anniversary year.
On January 1 of each year, an associate with 1 – 5 years of service may
carry over up to 40 hours of unused vacation time. Associates with 6-10 years of service may
carry over up to 120 hours, associates with 11 - 15 years of service may carry
over up to 160 hours of unused vacation and associates with 15 or more years of
service may carry over up to 200 unused vacation hours. Unused, earned vacation hours will be paid
out to terminated associates upon completion of two years of continuous
service.
Sick Leave
Full-time associates are eligible for forty (40) hours of paid sick
leave benefits per calendar year. Sick
hours are prorated for new associates hired throughout the year.
Unused sick hours can be carried over into the next year with a maximum
cap 240 hours. There is no payout of
unused sick hours to terminated associates.

Birthday
Certain offices may require an employee to work on a company observed
holiday in order to meet the needs of that location. In this instance, the employee will receive
an alternate day off.
Part time associates are
eligible for 4 paid holidays:
Birthday holiday (to be taken only in month of birth as per current
policy), Thanksgiving Day (one day), Christmas Day (one day) and New Years Day
(one day).
Other Paid Time Off
Full time associates summoned for jury duty will be excused with
pay. Bereavement leave with pay, not to
exceed three (3) working days off, shall be granted to attend funerals of
immediate family. Refer to Handbook
for details concerning definition of immediate family.
INSURANCE BENEFITS
The Wilson Company negotiates annually with
our insurance carriers to provide the richest benefit for full time associates
while keeping costs reasonable. All full
time associates share in a cost of the total premium which varies according to
the type of coverage chosen for your individual needs.
Medical, Dental
Associates are eligible for group medical and dental insurance after
completing one month of full time employment. Coverage is effective on the first of the
month following the thirty (30) day
waiting period. Routine medical and
dental coverage is provided with your enrollment in the group plan. A vision rider is included in the group
health insurance plan. Refer to plan booklets for further details.
Life Insurance
Life insurance is provided to associates at no cost, on the first of
the month following 30 days of full time employment. Face value of
one times your annual base salary minimum $25,000 and maximum
$50,000. This is a company paid benefit.
Catastrophic Sick Leave
The Wilson Company offers a unique and generous catastrophic sick leave
(short-term disability) program to assist associates who are unable to work due
to off the job illness. Full-time
associates, beginning with their first employment anniversary, accrue
catastrophic sick leave at the rate of one (1) week per year. After casual sick hours and accrued vacation
hours are used, catastrophic sick hours will be applied towards a short term
disability leave. Catastrophic sick hours are paid at 60% of gross weekly
salary. This is a company paid benefit.
Long-Term Disability
Long Term Disability is provided to associates at no cost, on the first
of the month following 30 days of full time employment. Should
an employee become unable to work for an extended period, long-term disability
insurance will cover a portion of his/her salary beginning on the one hundred
eighty-first (181st) calendar day of absence due to disability.
Supplemental Insurance
Full time associates have the option of purchasing accident, cancer,
hospital, short term disability insurance through AFLAC. Premiums are paid through payroll deduction
at a generous cost savings and are pre-taxed.
401(k) Savings Plan
The Wilson Company’s 401(k) Savings Plan offers associates an excellent
way to save for retirement or other long-term goals while benefiting from the
Company’s match and reducing current federal tax contributions. To participate, an employee must have
completed 90 days of service and be at least 19 years of age. Eligible
associates may enroll in the Plan on the first day of a quarter (January 1st,
April 1st, July 1st, or October 1st). The current company match is 100% of the
first $500 the employee contributes and then 40% up to 10% of the employee’s
total deferred contribution.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program available to all associates who enroll
with United Health Care, is a confidential program that helps associates better
handle work related concerns. It also
helps associates and their families resolve a variety of personal problems that
can impair job performance. Some of the
problems which an EAP can address are health issues; job concerns; substance
abuse; emotional problems; marital issues, child issues; aging parent issues;
legal or financial difficulties and medically related concerns. This is a company paid benefit.
Fitness Program
The Wilson Company encourages all associates to participate in a
healthy lifestyle. In that respect, The
Wilson Company provides access to discounted fitness club memberships through
GlobalFit network of health clubs.
Members enjoy discounts on monthly memberships of up to 60% with no long
term contracts. Other membership
benefits include on-line diet programs, discounts on home exercise equipment,
nutritional foods and more.
The
